While looking at wedding photos online, I stumbled upon these amazing huge flowers….. that were paper! I instantly thought they were so amazing and were kind of something out of Alice in Wonderland. I absolutely love them! Not to mention, these flowers never die. Whether they are in bright colors or whimsical pastels, they would be so fun at a wedding and would be an aspect of your wedding that guests would never forget!

Mmmm fruit. Oranges, lemons, limes, apples, cherries… they bring a fun, fresh, and colorful vibe to an event and can be incorporated in lots of ways from centerpieces to favors!

I have a new found love for chargers. When I thought of chargers, I thought of them as being an oversized plate that was used to keep a table cloth clean. They definitely were not something I considered fun, pretty or elegant. Rental companies offer so many different colors and designs on the chargers that the options are virtually endless. Chargers are a great accent to any table setting!

There are so many options for how to have your hair done for your wedding. There are even more options of what you could choose to put in your hair! Some brides choose not to use a veil for their ceremony or choose to have something else in their hair for the reception. If veils just aren’t your thing, or if you just want to chang it up for the recpetion, a headband, comb, tiara or even some fresh flowers are a stylish alternative to any hair style!

I love a good pair of heels.  LOVE.  And while heels are probably the most traditional shoe choice for your wedding day, why limit yourself? Wear what YOU want (or heck, go barefoot!). The most important thing about your wedding day is that every piece from the styling to the music to your wardrobe needs to feel like YOU.

Wood slices, or tree cookies as I like to call them, are becoming more and more popular at weddings. Every single wood slice is different with the rings, bark and knots that form. If you are going for a more natual feel for your wedding or reception they definitely are an easy way to bring nature indoors or even add to a beautiful natural setting. The tree cookies can even be repurposed for after your wedding and used in your home as a reminder of such an amazing event! The last several pictures show some fun ideas 🙂

Hope everyone had a nice long Labor Day weekend (and an even better short week following)

We spent Sunday with Jackie and Chance and about 110 of their closest family and friends, and it was AWESOME! Everything looked so beautiful (and most of all, the bride!).  Of course we’ll blog the wedding for real in the future, but in the meantime, here are a few sneak peak photos:

As a graduate of Texas State University, I am a pretty big Bobcat fan. Eat ’em up Cats!! If you and your sweetheart met in college, you can creatively and elegantly incorporate your team spirit into your big day. Whether it be maroon, orange, red, purple or blue, anything can be designed to integrate your beloved alma mater into your wedding!

Call it wishful thinking, but this week I felt inspired to blog about what you could wear on top of your gorgeous gown in case of chilly weather.  I know. It’s still summer. In Texas. But that doesn’t mean we can will some cold weather our way, does it?? Whether it’s a cardigan, a capelet, a coat, or anywhere in between, who says you have to sacrifice your bridal style because of cold weather?
