kathryn + brian
You know how people always talk about marrying their best friend? Well Kathryn and Brian exemplify that. These two are amazing, and their connection is so perfect that “perfect” doesn’t cover it. We could never get through five minutes of meeting without falling into crazy laughter. Their banter is like what you see in old Hollywood movies, a back and forth worthy of Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn. And that’s actually really fitting since when we first started talking about their vision for their wedding, Kathryn used the word “Classic” over and over. She described a beautiful, timeless, elegant wedding. Classic classic classic.
You really can’t ask for a more romantic venue than the Austin Museum of Art at Laguna Gloria. Set on the water, every piece of the venue is just stunning from the amphitheater where they said “I do” up to the Villa and the perfectly manicured gardens where they celebrated with their friends and family.
Can we talk about how gorgeous Kathryn looked in her dress? Her portraits look like a photo shoot! I think my favorite is of her amongst all the greenery. Such a stunner.
For her flowers, Kathryn chose reds, blues, and purples for her color scheme, and Coby Neal and The Flower Studio knocked it out of the park. And family style was the right way to go for their dinner – so many wonderful conversations could be heard amongst all their friends enjoying the delicious food by Primizie Catering.
One thing you learn quickly about Kathryn and Brian when you talk to them is just how much they LOVE dogs. They owned two sweet rottweilers Blue and Marley who were a big part of their lives – so sadly, both dogs passed away recently. In fact, Brian sped up his proposal so that both Blue and Marley could be a part of it. And Kathryn’s blue sapphire engagement ring is way to honor their sweet pup. I love that Kathryn and Brian chose to incorporate their loves into their wedding on their cake, beautiful designed by Blue Note Bakery! And actually, a few months before the wedding, they adopted a foster dog named Peter, a rambunctious little fellow, who was also on the cake, secretly on the back running behind the other two to catch up. SO sweet.
To keep the classic feel going, Kathryn and Brian’s reception music was provided by the Nash Hernandez Orchestra. Just amazing. And man can this couple MOVE. Kathryn’s dress, as beautiful as it already is in the portraits, looked even more incredible in motion. I love the dancing shots!
From start to finish, Amelia Tarbet‘s photos perfectly capture Kathryn and Brian’s October wedding. Two amazing people at their gorgeously classic wedding photographed so beautifully. Adore the Krellensteins!
