awards night
Another event I’ve been really lucky to produce – two years in a row – is the Sundance Film Festival’s Awards Night – it’s really three events in one: a pre-ceremony reception, the Awards ceremony (with its own writer/producer/director) and then a huge party. 2018’s Awards emcee was none other than Jason Mantzoukas and the show was opened with a performance by the band from Hearts Beat Loud. And then party’s DJ? Oh, no biggie, just RuPaul! It’s a massive undertaking of four days from load-in to load-out with a complete transformation and buildout of a recreational fieldhouse (you’d never know!), but so. much. fun.
