Happy new year, everyone!!

We have LOTS of fun events in the works for 2012, so we can wait to get started!

First up, next weekend is Engaged! in Austin – a B&G Bash.

Held at the Westin, it’s a beautiful, and totally different, bridal show – we are thrilled to be partnering with Brenda Abbott Floral Design, Marquee, Austinuts, and Kenny’s Coffee in our room, and we have a S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G design in the works. Come by and see us!

Stacey and Dan are oh-so-sweet!

Actually, for Stacey, being sweet is literal in her day-to-day life.  She’s a super-talented baker!

I first met her through the Austin wedding industry long before she was ever engaged, and at the time, she was telling me about her boyfriend Dan, how they met, etc – just 2 friends chatting. When she called me to tell me they were engaged and planning their wedding, I was thrilled!

They were married in late October on a seriously gorgeous day here in Austin.  Their ceremony was held at St. John’s United Methodist, and post-ceremony, they took advantage of the fall decor and took some pictures in the Church’s pumpkin patch!

For their reception, they chose The County Line on the Lake to treat their guests to some delish Texas barbecue. We took over the event space in the back, and with the weather as perfect as it was, we set up the space so the guest tables spilled out onto the lawn area.  The County Line was absolutely the perfect choice for their laid back reception.  On each table, we had not only a centerpiece, but a board game! Once guests had finished eating, we told everyone to move around to the game of their choice and get playing.  How fun is that?

And I couldn’t possibly talk about their wedding without bringing up their cakes.  Since Stacey’s a baker, no ordinary cake could do – and Blue Note Bakery knocked these out of the park (as usual).  The bride’s cake was adorable, polkadotted with her wedding colors – one of the tiers was Texas Pecan Cake with salted caramel buttercream… yes, please! And the groom’s cake? Well, you’ll have to take a look! The gears on the cake were incredible.  One of my favorite touches was their cake toppers – adorable little bride and groom robots!

A perfect fall wedding for these two!

Another fab collaboration with She-n-He Photography and Design and Zinnia and Company!

This one was meant to feel like a glamourous Hollywood dinner party – entirely decked out in black and gold with cream accents. Shot at the Vista on Seward Hill, the whole concept was built around Frank Sinatra’s “Put Your Dreams Away.” We dressed our party hostess in a stunning gold sequined poof dress, borrowed from Gilda Grace Collections, and a pair of red Lanvin heels.  The tablescape was a classic combination of black, gold and cream including gold-painted magnolia leaves as accents (you’ll see them peeking out behind the flatware!), plenty of gold candlesticks, and lots of cream flowers by Leah of Zinnia and Company.  The paper goods had a very art deco feel from the invitation suite to the table number to the escort cards. Take a time-traveling trip to the west coast and check out the photos from the shoot!

When a seriously stylish fashion blogger gets married, you know you can expect a beautiful affair. Michelle is the gorgeous face behind Uncharted Style, and she is just as fabulous and cool as you’d imagine after reading her blog.  I seriously adore this woman! And David is the perfect man for her – you can see it in their faces throughout their wedding day.  It’s pretty amazing.

They tied the knot on a perfect October Sunday at Mercury Hall under the giant trees.  Married by their close friend Darius, Michelle and David put together a wedding that was oh so beautiful.  First, look at the bridesmaids’ dresses! Leave it to a fashionista to know how best to handle dressing a group of ladies – just a simple directive of an LBD with some lace.  Although it’s cliche to say “you can totally wear it again,” in this case it’s absolutely true. I would wear each and every one of those dresses! And Zinnia and Company put together the perfect flowers to pop off of the black dresses – all of the ladies looked just perfect.

Following the ceremony, the newly crowned Mr. and Mrs. Pimm naturally chose Pimms cups for their signature drink during cocktail hour.

The hall was decked out in vintage tones like blushes, peaches, and sage greens, but with pops of black lace and black napkins to give it a little punch.  At each place setting, the guest favor was perfect for this pair of coffee-holics, a burlap bag of chocolate covered coffee beans and a simple note “Love is brewing.”

After a delish family style dinner by Royal Fig Catering, Michelle and David were toasted by their best friends and family, and the newlyweds enjoyed their champagne out of mason jar goblets (!!) bought for them by Michelle’s parents.  Instead of a traditional cake, they had a cupcake tower, and the groom’s cake paid honor to one of David’s favorite teams, the San Antonio Spurs.

On the dance floor, no one was shy! Michelle, David, their wedding party, their families, and their friends were all big dancers, and you could tell that everyone was having an amazing time!

When the night came to a close, they exited through a shower of rose petals to their waiting limo and headed to Hawaii the next day for a relaxing honeymoon.

I just had coffee with Michelle a few days ago, and we were chatting about just how incredible their wedding day was from start to finish.

From the dream team of vendors to the beautiful weather to the absolutely amazing couple, this one was just perfection.

We worked with She-n-He Photography and Design and Zinnia and Company to bring together this inspiration shoot.  Meant to feel dreamy and whimsical between the woven ribbon table topper and the hanging tea cups spilling roses and moss, our tea party took place at the Inn at Wild Rose Hall.  Zinnia and Company’s arrangements were the perfect combination of traditional tea party beauty with a bit of an twist with the moss and poppy pods. And Queen of the FronTIER‘s creations looked oh-so-delectable fromcookies to scones to tea sandwiches.  Captured beautifully by Melanie of She-n-He, every piece of the shoot was a labor of love that we all started putting together the night before and got up at 5am to finish.  We’re so thankful to all of the vendors who participated!
