brittany + jason
Every now and then, you meet someone, and it feels like you were just supposed to be friends with this person. Brittany is one of those people for me. From the second that we met, she felt like an old friend and we were making fun of each other like we’d been friends forever.
Planning her wedding to Jason was a blast – mostly because the two of them are just so fun, so hilarious. Plus, as a planner, it’s always exciting when someone comes to you wanting something totally different. I had never planned an event at Ballet Austin before, so that in and of itself made things exciting – it’s a blank canvas of a space with a very contemporary edge. And Brittany and Jason wanted everything to feel fun, modern, and colorful – even MORE exciting.
Each space in Ballet Austin allowed us to do different things. The ceremony took place on the diagonal into the corner of the Adlerland Room (with a beautiful hanging flower backdrop by Bouquets of Austin). From there, the guests moved into the Armstrong Connelly Room for cocktail hour. And finally, dinner and dancing took place in the Austin Ventures Studio Theater. We kept their rentals in black and silver, and then added lots of color with other design elements. Probably one of my favorite things about being in Ballet Austin was all of the lighting possibilities! In every room, we had so many options, so each space looked so different and dynamic. And Bouquets of Austin did an amazing job with the bright flowers – Brittany’s bouquet is a perfect example. So colorful and fun!
Love this wedding, love these two people.
