francesca + jacob
A fairy tale wedding in the forest.
That’s how Francesca described the feel she wanted for her wedding. And, not to brag… ok maybe to brag a little…, but we knocked it out of the park. Lots of natural elements with a vintage twist.
First, Francesca and Jacob – I mega-heart these two people! Seriously, I loved working with them SO much.
Their summer wedding took place at The Wildflower Barn, an almost entirely outdoor venue, save for the barn where the dancefloor and photo booth were. The ceremony took place in a small clearing in the middle of the trees. So romantic! Under an arbor from Loot Vintage with hanging decor elements crafted by their close friend, Francesca and Jacob said “I do.” Sidebar – how much do I love her Claire Pettibone dress? Francesca’s personal flowers were so perfect – she wanted a gathering of branched flowers to hold and a floral crown to wear. She just looked so ethereal and beautiful! And Jupiter, their furry ring bearer? I have since told them that they should rent him out for weddings, he was so well behaved and – while I know this isn’t actually possible – I swear, he smiled the whole day!
Cocktail Hour happened across the venue with lawn games for people to play throughout the evening. Dinner took place under the trees with a canopy of festoon lights overhead. We rented mismatched china from Loot, and Royal Fig Catering did an amazing job as usual with the food. To find their tables, each guest had a succulent with their name as the escort cards. When Francesca started described what she wanted her flowers to feel like – very natural, lots of succulents – I knew exactly who we needed. Antonio with Transplants. And these are some of my favorite centerpieces ever! Found wood covered in succulents and white flowers. Each table was named after a spot special to the couple. And then for dessert, an amazing spread by Bake Sale – chocolate tamales, hand pies, and on and on.
I could go on and on about this wedding and all the small details and personal touches and how much I love it all and especially love this couple! But instead, why don’t you peruse the photos below – stunning work as always by Katherine O’Brien Photography.
