lisa + alex
Are you ready? No seriously. Are you ready for a serious boatload of pretty?
Lisa and Alex’s wedding was a BLAST to plan! Initially, I was hired for month-of coordination which was already so much fun. Talk about two seriously awesome people, Lisa and Alex are just such a perfect match. Any time we would have a meeting, it would turn into hours of just chatting and laughing hysterically.
And then midway through the process, Lisa added on design help. And that meant EVEN MORE FUN! How to describe their amazingly beautiful wedding? Glitter, brass, and antlers? Eclectic chic? I don’t think I could come up with an accurate description. Lisa had collected a bunch of pieces from wood boxes to antlers to slats to vases that she wanted to incorporate into the wedding, so we took what she already had, edited the pieces down into a theme, and then scavenged for more. We had afternoons at the Antique Mall, crafting sessions, and then mocking everything up in my apartment. Plus a trip to Loot Vintage to pick out some more fun pieces. Then came the pinterest party! We collected lots of photos of the flower arrangements we wanted, I put together a powerpoint for Carly at Margot Blair to work from outlining every centerpiece and the style of arrangement for it. Lisa gold dipped feathers for the cake table and we collected tons of candle holders, accented some with gold rims and glitter. And the end result? Spectacular.
Mercury Hall was the perfect setting for their wedding, and we were lucky to score an unseasonably warm January day for the wedding. It was in the 70s for the outdoor ceremony! They got married under the oak trees with an Incan band playing for the ceremony music. After cocktails on the gravel, everyone moved inside for dinner (Royal Fig is always amazing! And the signature drinks that they came up with fit everything perfectly) and dancing.
I just adore these two.
OK, now scroll down and soak up their amazing wedding day!
