megan + james
Megan and James are a sweet couple from Houston who were so excited about their wedding day and so laid back, just wanting to truly enjoy themselves. How laid back? When I asked Megan what the rain plan for the ceremony was, she said they would just get married in the rain. And if their guests wanted to watch, they could. If not, they could stay inside. I mean, how romantic is that? Luckily, we didn’t have to worry about it on the day of the wedding, but I feel like that’s a pretty good anecdote to give you insight into these two.
They got married in an outdoor June ceremony at Mercury Hall and then celebrated with dinner and dancing inside. Megan and her mom designed the wedding with lots of romantic rustic chic details like monogrammed burlap runners (both on the tables and on the aisle!), galvanized buckets of hydrangea, personalized Texas-stamped tea towel favors, and then lots and lots of photos of Megan and James everywhere.
They had lots of fantastic vendors on board including Royal Fig Catering, Petals Ink, and Buzz and the Blue Cats.
